F-1 2008

After the new F-1 champion was decided, a little past
4 a.m. in tokyo, i was just speechless.
What a race it was, with Vettel passing Luis with 3 laps left,
and the Toyota's gamble failing in the final lap...
But as my biased opinion, i was pretty much moved by
the proud expression on Felipe's face on the podium.
Although he didn't win the championship, he has grown to another level.

Try over-speeding in Italy.
The newly installed Lamborghini Gallardo Police cars
will definately hunt you down.
They could've done a better job with the painting,
and rethink the frosty police logo.

INTEL GASSAKU

Intel is promoting their processor with a
collaboration network contents called GASSAKU.
The relevance with the processor is hard to understand,
but the interactive pencil drawn connection looks interesting.

At Tokyo Video Magazine,
they preserve a variety of japanese directors'
short movies from PVs and Ads.

From colored ball, paint, and bunnies,
Bravia's new ad featured colorful dominos
falling through a city in India.

Mini Cooper, arguably the most customizable car,
(by the means of design) has it's own variety of
expressions shown on Mini Graphics.

NIKON UP

This Nikon UP consists: a display, a headphone,
wi-fi, audio player. The real product looks a bit geeky.
(the website's interactive design looked a lot better)

SPEACH

With our president changing from tomorrow, he gave
out a speach to conclude his 8 years at our company.
In response to his greeting, one of our colleagues read a
very well-expressed farewell letter.

I always believe that the ability to make a
strong impressive speach is imperative for a leader.
(not all good speakers makes a good leader)

How he delivered his gratitude, the pitch,
the intonation, the script, and the idea itself
of the way to thank him, was inspiring.

DIESEL DIRTY 30

Diesel has launched a hilarious campaign named
"Dirty 30 Party" as their 30th anniversary.

They've arranged a 70's porno movie into an
animated music video by adding a cartoon
layer on top of the what you call it.

One of the few blogs that i read daily,
"Arsenal Eat World" has announced it's
closing today. With all the gunners related
news and reports updated, the owner's
remarks were never offensive and comforting.

Back from listening to "Satonao"'s lecture.
One of the forerunners of the online communication industry,
a copywriter, an ad planner, an author, a gourmet, etc...
They were kind enough to giveout one of his books as souvenirs,
so i read it on the way home.
His thoughts, and examples are well expressed.

The City of Stuttgart, GER has definately made
their life savers look out of the ordinary.
2 Porsche Cayenne, customized to Ambulances
were introduced, with a original painting and a
fully custom built to medical use interior.

Flo:q, a sony's widget portal has launched a
Flo:q x 100 Creators Watches, 100 clock widgets
designed by japan's 100 selected creators.

A new sport called "Chunga" a Jenga of Kit Kat,

Hans is the champion of Chunga, and
clearly it has been inspired by Jack Black,
and the essense of Will Ferrell.

Trucks growing a cat's tail, it is a simple idea,
but it looks quite adorable as it is shown in the movie.

yes, the graphic is flawless, but it just don't have
much goods to gravitate you toward it.

PONYO ON THE CLIFF

You will have more than 100 questions
storming in your head while and after watching the
Hayao Miyazaki's latest work Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea.

it's not because of the complexity of the story,
(trust me, there's no depth in it's message)
but from their surreal "out of their mind" scripts.

the casting of the actors are terrible as usual,
this time, the story just bamboozles you.
expect it as a ridiculous comedy, not a artwork.

The sensational service by google is now available in japan.
the Google Map Street View.

It seems to cover more streets, and with better resolution pics.
They really do amaze you.

2008, was my first Tour de France experience.
I've been watching all sorts of sports, but totally missed out on the "le tour".
the tactics, the teamwork, the drama, now i'm a fan.

despite some may feel that this is doing too much, i agree with the google's opinion that "ads bring reality to games". games are unreal, but ads are so abundant within our daily life that ads, it strengthen the impression.
i can still recall the scene of GAP in "minority report" clearly.

advertisement is business, there is a bidder and a profitter.
but in some cases like MGS4, they created a ad within a game, just to refurnish it's quality. sometimes, ads isn't just for getting attentions, it's an instrument of sending out messages.

the souvenir i received from osaka, turned out to be
one of the best rice crackers i ever had.
